The Nigeria Police Force has released a state-by-state summary of operational successes recorded on 10th and 11th August, 2026.

1. DELTA STATE – 10th August 2026: 3 ABDUCTED PERSONS FREED
Three persons abducted during an attack on a land-clearing site in Ozoro have been released by their captors. The victims sustained injuries and received medical attention after their release.
Status: SCID Asaba is investigating.

2. FCT – 10th August 2026: 4 SUSPECTED ‘ONE-CHANCE’ OPERATORS PICKED UP
Operatives arrested four suspected members of a one-chance robbery gang after a passenger was allegedly robbed of ₦1,200,000. Two suspects were caught when the vehicle used for the crime was stopped. A manhunt is ongoing for other members.

3. FCT – 10th August 2026: CAR THEFT SUSPECT ARRESTED, MERCEDES AND MASTER KEYS RECOVERED
Acting on intelligence and CCTV footage, police arrested a suspected member of a car theft syndicate. A Mercedes-Benz E350 believed to be used for thefts was recovered from his home, along with four master keys and an unverified plate number.

4. FCT – 10th August 2026: FIRE AT KABUSA ESTATE QUELLED, 2 ARRESTED
Police and residents put out a fire at Kabusa Garden Estate, Lokogoma, triggered by a dispute between two persons. Two suspects were arrested and detained.

5. OYO STATE – 10th August 2026: MURDER SUSPECT NABBED IN ERUWA
Police responded to a fight at Oke Ola, Eruwa, where a man was stabbed to death. One suspect has been arrested.
Status: SCID Ibadan investigating.

6. OYO STATE – 10th August 2026: 2 MURDER SUSPECTS ARRESTED IN IGBETI
Two persons were arrested after an argument turned violent and led to the death of a victim in Igbeti.
Status: SCID Ibadan investigating.

7. KATSINA STATE – 10th August 2026: BANDIT ATTACK FOILED, MOTORCYCLE RECOVERED
Operatives responded to a bandit invasion at Metsani Village, Dutsinma. The attackers fled into the bush with possible gunshot wounds after a gun battle. One operational Boxer motorcycle was recovered.

8. EKITI STATE – 11th August 2026: SUSPECT ARRESTED OVER DEFILEMENT
A suspect was arrested for allegedly defiling a 14-year-old girl in Iyin-Ekiti. The victim was taken to hospital for treatment and examination.
Status: SCID Ado-Ekiti investigating.

9. KOGI STATE – 11th August 2026: 9 KIDNAP VICTIMS RESCUED, 2 VEHICLES RECOVERED
An intelligence-led operation along Mameramo-Adomu Road led to the rescue of nine kidnapped passengers. The victims have been reunited with families, and two vehicles were recovered.

10. ANAMBRA STATE – 11th August 2026: 2 DRUG DEALERS ARRESTED IN OBOSI
Police raided a suspected drug warehouse in Obosi. Two dealers were arrested while others escaped. Large quantities of illicit drugs and ₦598,400 believed to be proceeds of crime were seized.

11. KWARA STATE – 10th August 2026: 4 SUSPECTS HELD OVER KIDNAP
Following the abduction of a resident in Ilesha Baruba, police and other security agencies arrested four suspects. Efforts continue to rescue the victim and track other gang members.
Status: SCID Ilorin investigating.

12. JIGAWA STATE – 11th August 2026: 5 SUSPECTS ARRESTED, FETISH ITEMS SEIZED
Raids on suspected hideouts in Ringim led to the arrest of five persons. Charms, fetish materials and red uniforms were recovered from their homes.
Status: SCID Dutse investigating.

13. LAGOS STATE – 11th August 2026: WOMAN RESCUED FROM Sienna BUS, SUSPECT ARRESTED
Police responded to a distress call about a woman in a Toyota Sienna. The suspect was arrested, the vehicle impounded, and the victim taken to hospital.

14. LAGOS STATE – 11th August 2026: INJURED MAN RESCUED, EXHIBITS RECOVERED
An unidentified man with serious injuries was rescued on James Robertson Street and rushed to hospital. Broken bottles believed to be weapons were recovered as exhibits.

15. LAGOS STATE – 11th August 2026: ATTEMPTED MURDER SUSPECT CAUGHT IN IDIMU
Police arrested one suspect after an attempted attack on a woman at a hotel in Idimu. His accomplice escaped and is being pursued. The suspect is in custody.

16. AKWA IBOM STATE – 11th August 2026: 5 DRUG DEALERS ARRESTED IN IBIONO IBOM
Raids at Mbak Itam and Ikot Mbang led to the arrest of five suspected drug dealers. Large quantities of suspected drugs and ₦42,000 cash were recovered.
