Galatasaray have lowered their valuation for Victor Osimhen to €65m after Saudi Pro League club Al Hilal made enquiries, according to Turkish outlet Haberler, citing Sky Sports.
The Saudi side are reported to have contacted the Turkish champions to discuss the conditions of a potential transfer for the Nigeria striker. Osimhen only recently completed a permanent switch to Galatasaray from Napoli following a successful loan spell.
Per the report, Galatasaray are open to selling if their asking price is met. The club are demanding €65m for the forward.
It was also noted that the final call will be up to Osimhen. For any deal to go through, Al Hilal would have to persuade the striker to move to Saudi Arabia and reach an agreement with Galatasaray.
Al Hilal are said to be preparing to clear space in their squad by offloading Karim Benzema. The Riyadh club are expected to step up talks with Osimhen’s representatives in the coming days.
If Osimhen stays in Istanbul, he will spearhead Galatasaray’s bid for a third straight Super Lig title. Bookmakers Sportingbet still have Gala as favourites at 2.00, followed by Fenerbahce at 2.75, Besiktas at 7.00 and Trabzonspor at 12.00.
Since arriving at Galatasaray, Osimhen has netted 59 goals in 74 games. He now faces stiffer competition in Turkey after Trabzonspor signed Mohamed Salah to partner Paul Onuachu, while Fenerbahce added Mason Greenwood and Romelu Lukaku to bolster their attack.
