The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has arrested a man with 127 wraps of cocaine weighing 1.388 kilograms at the Mallam Aminu Kano International Airport. The suspect, who operates boutiques in Lagos and Onitsha, Anambra State, was arrested upon arrival from Bangkok, Thailand, via Ethiopian Airlines flight ET 941.
According to the NDLEA, the suspect had concealed the cocaine in his private parts and stomach. A total of 58 wraps were recovered from his pants, and 69 pellets were egested during excretion observation.
Recent NDLEA Seizures
The NDLEA has also intercepted several consignments of illicit drugs, including:
- 1.74 kg of methamphetamine hidden in glass ceramics
- 114 grams and 168 grams of pentazocine and tramadol injections
- 48 grams of tramadol capsules concealed in Vitamin C containers
- 2.6 kg of skunk and 422 grams of tapentadol 250mg hidden in black soap tablets
- 169 grams of cocaine hidden in lady’s handbags
- 568 grams of “Loud” (strong strain of cannabis) concealed in herbal containers
These seizures demonstrate the agency’s commitment to combating drug trafficking and abuse.
