The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has announced its schedule for the 2026 nationwide congresses and National Convention, marking a key step in the party’s leadership renewal process. The exercise will start at polling units and wards, followed by local government and state levels, and culminate in the election of national officers.
According to a statement by party officials, the congresses will be held on the following dates:
- Polling Unit and Ward Congresses: April 7
- Local Government Area Congresses: April 9
- State Congresses: April 11
- National Convention: April 14
The party has invited interested members to contest vacant positions and urged them to participate in the democratic process. Aspirants can obtain nomination or expression-of-interest forms on the party’s website. Members are also asked to maintain order and follow the party constitution and democratic principles throughout the exercise.
