Istanbul, June 2026 – Victor Osimhen is reportedly urging Super Eagles teammate Ademola Lookman to join him at Galatasaray when the 2026 summer transfer window opens.
Lookman only moved to Atlético Madrid from Atalanta in the winter window after attracting interest from several top European clubs. The Nigerian winger has settled fast in La Liga, scoring 9 goals and adding 4 assists in 24 games across all competitions for the Spanish side.
Despite his strong form at the Wanda Metropolitano, talk over his future has not slowed down. Reports now link him with Turkish champions Galatasaray — a move that would reunite him with Osimhen, who has become a key figure in Istanbul.
According to Turkish outlet Fotomaç, Osimhen personally spoke to Lookman about the switch, highlighting the strong bond and “family” atmosphere in the Galatasaray dressing room.
Osimhen was quoted by Habersarikirmizi as saying: “We are waiting for you at Galatasaray. Come and be a part of this family.”
If the deal happens, Lookman would add serious firepower to Galatasaray’s attack ahead of the 2026/27 season. He could also be lined up as a long-term replacement for Mauro Icardi, whose future at the club is uncertain with exit rumors swirling this summer.
