The Inspector-General of Police, IGP Olatunji Rilwan Disu, psc (+), NPM, on Wednesday commissioned two new Compressed Natural Gas, CNG, buses donated to the Nigeria Police Force by Sterling Oil Exploration and Energy Production Company Limited, SEEPCO.
The handover took place at the Force Headquarters in Abuja.
Present at the event were senior police officers and top executives of SEEPCO, including the Managing Director Mr. Mohit Barot, Director of Business Development Mr. Raj Bhargava, the companyโs Public Relations Officer, and other officials.
Speaking during the unveiling, IGP Disu applauded Sterling Oil for the gesture under its corporate social responsibility drive. He said the eco-friendly buses will improve staff welfare logistics and boost the mobility of police personnel in carrying out their duties.
The SEEPCO management team also restated the companyโs commitment to partnering with security agencies and supporting initiatives aimed at strengthening public safety across the country.
The donation adds to ongoing efforts to provide the Force with alternative, cost-effective transport options while reducing carbon emissions
