Real Madrid have put a new deal on the table for Vinicius Junior as they look to tie him down long-term.
Per ESPN Brasil, the offer would pay the Brazilian winger about €22 million annually.
But Vinicius isn’t ready to sign yet. The 26-year-old is pushing for closer to €30 million per year. He sees this as the defining contract of his career and feels Madrid should reward him for everything he’s contributed at the Bernabeu.
At the moment, no talks are lined up between Vinicius’ camp and the club to resume negotiations.
That pause has not gone unnoticed. Arsenal are reportedly keeping a close watch on the situation. The Gunners are prepared to make Vinicius the top earner in their history if he decides to leave Spain.
With his current deal running down and interest building, Madrid will have to decide soon whether to meet his demands or risk losing one of their star attackers.
