Sean “Diddy” Combs has officially lost claim to cash and electronic devices that were confiscated by federal agents during the investigation into his criminal case.
A federal judge has now signed an order granting ownership of the items to the U.S. government. The decision came after no claims were filed to contest the seizure within the required timeframe.
Court records obtained by TMZ show that Judge Arun Subramanian, who presided over Diddy’s federal trial, approved the forfeiture order on Tuesday. The ruling authorizes federal officials to take custody of the property and permits them to sell it in line with federal guidelines.
Among the items listed are several iPhones, iPads, and hard drives. The order also includes $9,000 in cash that was taken from the Park Hyatt Hotel on September 16, 2024 — the same day Diddy was arrested at the location.
According to the filing, authorities posted a public notice about the seized property and gave 30 days for anyone to file a claim. With no responses submitted, the court granted the government’s request and finalized the transfer.
Diddy’s legal troubles began in 2024 after federal raids on his homes, followed by his arrest. He was later convicted on two prostitution-related charges and is currently serving a federal prison sentence. His scheduled release date is February 20, 2028, following a period in a Special Housing Unit after a reported prison altercation.
