Istanbul, June 2026 – Galatasaray have turned down a €125 million offer for Victor Osimhen, insisting they will not sell the Super Eagles striker despite intense interest from top European clubs ahead of the summer transfer window, PUNCH Sports Extra reports.
The bid, reported by Turkish outlet Forza Cimbom, was rejected outright by the Turkish champions. Galatasaray had earlier dismissed a €120 million proposal from Atletico Madrid.
Manchester United, Barcelona and Atletico Madrid are all tracking the 27-year-old, but Galatasaray have made it clear they will not entertain any offer below their valuation.
Record-breaking form justifies price tag
The club believes the fee is justified by Osimhen’s impact since joining from Napoli. He has scored 59 goals in 74 appearances for Galatasaray, including 15 league goals and 5 assists in 22 Süper Lig matches this season. In the Champions League, he added 7 goals and 3 assists in 10 games before Galatasaray were knocked out by Liverpool in the round of 16.
Icardi exit strengthens resolve
Galatasaray’s determination to keep Osimhen has increased with Argentine forward Mauro Icardi set to leave when his contract expires at the end of June. Losing both strikers in one window would leave the Istanbul side short of firepower as they chase domestic dominance and a deeper European run next season.
Leadership pitch to Osimhen
To convince him to stay, PUNCH Sports Extra reports Galatasaray are ready to hand Osimhen the captain’s armband and the iconic No. 9 jersey currently worn by Icardi. Club officials believe such symbolic gestures of leadership and identity may not be available to him immediately at clubs like United, Arsenal or Chelsea, where dressing-room hierarchies are already established.
Osimhen has repeatedly spoken positively about his time in Istanbul and expressed a desire to remain. But with Europe’s biggest spenders circling, his future will remain a major talking point throughout the transfer window.
