Manchester United are plotting a major midfield overhaul and have turned their attention to Real Madrid pair Aurelien Tchouaméni and Eduardo Camavinga.

According to a report by El Nacional, new permanent boss Michael Carrick is determined to strengthen the center of the park ahead of the new season as he reshapes the squad.

United have already made three additions this summer, bringing in Andrey Santos, Youri Tielemans, and Karl Darlow.

The club’s recruitment focus has now shifted to Madrid, where both Tchouaméni and Camavinga are valued at a combined fee of around €150m.

While the two French internationals are said to prefer staying at the Bernabéu, United’s push could force Real Madrid to consider offers as they look to raise funds.

Carrick’s Red Devils are hoping to land at least one of the midfielders to add more depth and quality to their engine room.
